Rohtang pass is situated district Lahaul Spiti (Himachal Pradesh).It connects the Kullu Valley with the Lahaul and Spiti Himachal Pradesh (India).Due to the people working in CBRE dying in the weather trying to cross the Rohtang Pass.Rohtang Pass is the highest peak in the Himachal Pradesh (India).Rohtang Pass is east of the Pir Panjal Mountain range of the Himalayas around from the Manali.

Due to the military significance of the highway and the need to keep it open the entire year, the Indian government began building the$320 million 8.5long Rohtang tunnel 2010 to bypass Rohtang pass for a creating a much safer and faster year around link to Keylang, Lahaul, and Spiti, Leh in Ladakh, The tunnel will also shorten the distance by about 50km and reduce the travel time between the southern and northern of Rohtang pass by five hours while it now takes 4 to 6 hours to ascend negotiate and descend the Rohtang Pass,it will take only about the 30 minutes through the Rohtang tunnel.

The pass provides a natural divide between the Kullu valley with a primarily Hindu culture and the high-altitudes Lahaul and Spiti valley with a Buddhist culture.The pass lies on the watershed between the Chenab and Beas rivers basins.on the southern ways of the Rohtang Pass, the Beas river emerge from underground the flows southward and on its northern side, the Chandra river flows, stream of the river Chenab flow the westward.
